Back in 2016, I moved from India to the U.S. with a dream and a determination to pursue my Master’s in Cybersecurity. Today, as I look back, I feel proud, grateful, and excited for what’s ahead.
With a strong foundation in entrepreneurship as the founder of Inforaam, I was eager to dive deep into the world of cybersecurity. I had the privilege of working alongside some of the most brilliant minds, especially Dr. Paolo Gasti, under whom I explored the fascinating domain of cryptography, network security, and continuous authenticationresearch. My journey also led me to work with Dr. Kiran Balagani and Dr. Bill, who helped deepen my understanding of AI and database security.
I was honored to receive two awards for excellence – from the Upsilon Pi Epsilon Honor Society and the New York Institute of Technology.

My time as a Research Assistant in the cybersecurity lab was one of the most enriching experiences – working on projects like Continuous Authentication of Smartphone Users was both challenging and exciting. I’m especially thankful to my friends Jaydeep and Yash – those late-night study sessions, brainstorming marathons, and Starbucks runs kept the grind fun and memorable.

One of the highlights was attending the opening of the NYIT New Cyber Lab, where we presented our work and welcomed guests to see firsthand the progress being made in cybersecurity innovation.
This chapter may be closing, but the story is far from over. Onward to new challenges, continued learning, and building the future of secure technology.
