Who is Krutik Poojara?
Krutik Poojara is a cybersecurity practitioner and entrepreneur working in application, cloud, and AI security. Over more than a decade he has worked on security engineering at Google, NEC Corporation of America, NerdWallet, and Verizon reverse engineering malicious Android applications for Google Play Protect, securing product and infrastructure environments at NEC, implementing secure development lifecycle practices at NerdWallet, and leading mobile application, API, and AI security work at Verizon.
He holds an M.S. in Cybersecurity from the New York Institute of Technology, where he graduated at the top of his cohort and contributed to NSF-funded research on privacy-preserving continuous authentication. He holds the CISSP and CEH certifications and is a Senior Member of the IEEE.
He is the founder of Nandee, an AI-assisted application security platform that automates vulnerability detection and remediation guidance for development teams, and previously co-founded Code Clinic formerly Inforaam.
Within the ISACA Silicon Valley Chapter he serves on the Conference Committee and leads the chapter’s Startup Accelerator program. He writes for the ISACA Journal, reviews manuscripts for ISACA and technical books for Manning Publications, and serves as a scholarship review panelist for the Center for Cyber Safety and Education.
Beyond his professional work, Krutik is committed to making a meaningful difference in the community. He plays an active role in philanthropic efforts, notably serving on the Technical Advisory Board for Sewa Diwali, where he helps coordinate the donation of over 700,000 pounds of food each year to fight hunger. He is also a dedicated advocate for diversity and inclusion in cybersecurity, mentoring through Minorities in Cybersecurity and volunteering as a scholarship review panelist for the Center for Cyber Safety and Education (ISC²). His commitment to mentorship, education, and equitable opportunity underscores his vision for a more inclusive and empowered cybersecurity ecosystem.
